Recently, the John J. Hemmingson Foundation donated $250,000 to the Companions Animal Center (CAC) in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in support of their new facility, which expands the organization’s ability to serve more animals in the community. John is a longtime dog lover, and his own beloved companion, Hailey Hemmingson, was adopted in Hailey, Idaho.
The donation directly supports the Hailey Hemmingson Dog Adoption Wing, expanding CAC’s space dedicated to dog care and adoption. The wing is named in honor of Hailey Hemmingson, John’s adopted dog, whose legacy lives on through this dedicated facility. The new addition increases CAC’s overall capacity and enhances access to vital services, including veterinary care, critical care, and other essential support for animals in need.
